The Catalans closed the gap on Real Madrid to two points on Sunday night after a 4-2 win against Valencia at the Camp Nou.

Los Blancos still have game in a hand over Barcelona in the La Liga.

Story of the game

Valencia took the lead at Barca through Eliaquim Mangala, however the hosts were soon on level terms Luis Suarez scored.

The match turned just before the break as Mangala was sent off for Los Che, and Leo Messi fired Barca in front from the spot.

However Valencia went into the break at 2-2 as Munir El Haddadi scored against his old club.

In the second half, however, Barca took control. Messi scored his second of the game, before Andre Gomes scored his first Catalan goal against his former employers to win the match.
