Kazma deny Barcelona late on; Olhanense draw at Leixoes; Hapoel Tel Aviv smash five past Raanana

Kazma 1 – Barcelona 1 (Friendly, December 21, 2009) The new club world champions played a largely youthful team in a friendly reportedly worth 2 million euros. Bojan Krkic broke the deadlock in the 80th minute with a lovely chipped finish, Dafeeri grabbed a draw for the Kuwaitis with another fine finish in the first minute of injury time.

Charlton 4 – Millwall 4 (League One, December 19, 2009) Ten-man Millwall twice came from behind to earn a thrilling draw at Charlton. Steve Morison made the most of a couple of errors to hand the Lions a 2-0 lead, but Andy Frampton’s foul on Dave Mooney allowed Deon Burton to score a penalty. Burton scored again after Nadjim Abdou, who saw red for the foul, felled Lloyd Sam and Nicky Bailey volleyed a third. Dave Martin brought Millwall back level from close range before Morison headed into his own net, only for Danny Schofield to smash a dramatic leveller.

Hapoel Tel Aviv 5 – Hapoel Raanana 0 (Ligat ha’Al, December 21, 2009) In the 20th minute Raanana defender Tamir inexplicably headed the ball towards his own goal and Samuel Yeboah pounced to smash in the opener. Less than two minutes later Eran Zehavi and Dedi Ben-Dayan exchanged passes down the left flank before the latter to double Hapoel’s lead. Ben-Dayan scored the goal of the match on 29 minutes, sending an unstoppable volley into the back of the net from the corner of the box. Hapoel secured the victory four minutes before the interval, with Zehavi ending his persistent run with a goal after a left-footed shot from the edge of the box. Itai Shechter got his 12th league goal in 13 matches to complete the scoring in the 62nd minute and Hapoel cruised effortlessly to another win.

Leixoes 2 – Olhanense 2 (Superliga, December 21, 2009) Liga basement boys Olhanense earned a rare point tonight with a 2-2 draw at fellow strugglers Leixoes. Leixoes twice took the lead, through Christian Pouga in the 29th minute and Tiago Cintra four minutes after the hour mark. Olhanense’s levellers came through Tiago Rabiola (31) and Andre Castro 15 minutes before the end.
