Napoli 2 – Catania 2 (Serie A, March 25, 2012) A stunning strike from Swiss midfielder Blerim Dzemaili opened the scoring on the hour mark and Edinson Cavani made it two six minutes later. However away defender Nicolas Spolli headed Catania back into the game and substitute Lanzafame scored a moment after coming on to equalise late on and dent Napoli’s hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
Genoa 2 – Fiorentina 2 (Serie A, March 25, 2012) Fernando Belluschi put the home side in front in the 21st minute before Riccardo Montolivo and Cesare Natali turned the game around. Rodrigo Palacio scored a minute from time to snatch a 2-2 draw for Genoa at home to Fiorentina.
Chievo 1 – Siena 1 (Serie A, March 25, 2012) Chievo had taken the lead through Francesco Acerbi with nine minutes gone, but were unable to hold out for the remainder of the game as Mattia Destro levelled six minutes after the break.
Cesena 2 – Parma 2 (Serie A, March 25, 2012) Cesena stayed bottom after an entertaining 2-2 draw at home to Parma. Adrian Mutu hit the bar for the hosts before Sebastian Giovinco teed up Sergio Floccari to give Parma the lead. Goals from Mario Santana and Simone Del Nero put Cesena in charge but Gabriel Paletta snatched a point for the visitors, who remain one place and five points above the relegation zone.
