Serie A: Wins for Fiorentina, AC Milan, Udinese; Inter held by Genoa

Palermo 1 – Fiorentina 3 (Serie A, October 26, 2008) Gilardino clearly handled the ball while sliding in the score the opener, before Mutu bagged the second with a fine finish. Simplicio pulled a goal back from close range but Mutu confirmed the points for the Viola with his second of the game.

Atalanta 0 – AC Milan 1 (Serie A, October 26, 2008) AC Milan waited until the 80th minute to score at Atalanta, before Kaka swept home Borriello’s pass.

Udinese 3 – Roma 1 (Serie A, October 26, 2008) Udinese tore Roma to pieces in the first half, Di Natale scoring the opener from the penalty spot while Flores bagged the second after exploiting horrendous defending from a rout-one ball. Roma were dead and buried in the 50th minute, Di Natale raced clear to slot the third past Doni. Totti scored an inconsequential late penalty for Roma.

Inter Milan 0 – Genoa 0 (Serie A, October 26, 2008) Inter dropped two home points to 10-man Genoa, Adriano came close but he saw his effort come back off the bar.

Lazio 0 – Napoli 1 (Serie A, October 26, 2008) Napoli are level on points with Inter after a 61st minute own goal from Sebastiano Siviglia secured an impressive away win at Lazio.

Sampdoria 2 – Bologna 0 (Serie A, October 26, 2008) Gennaro Delvecchio opened the scoring on 63 minutes and Antonio Cassano teed up Claudio Bellucci to finish off the second goal on 74 minutes.

Cagliari 2 – Chievo 0 (Serie A, October 26, 2008) Robert Acquafresca fired home from outside the box for the opener on the half-hour mark and Michele Fini finished from Davide Biondini’s through ball for the second goal nine minutes after half-time.

Reggina 2 – Lecce 0 (Serie A, October 26, 2008)
