Bologna 1 – Inter Milan 3 (Serie A, November 21, 2009) Bologna’s defence fell apart under pressure from a 22nd minute Inter corner and Diego Milito was on hand to sweep home the opener. The lead was held for under sixty seconds, as from the kick-off Bologna headed for goal and Marcelo Zalayeta finished off the attack with a terrific strike past Cesar. Super Mario Balotelli was anything but when the striker managed to go round the home keeper without managing to hit the back of the net, and Dejan Stankovic was far more unlucky when he saw a shot hit both posts and yet stay out of the goal. Inter eventually regained their lead before the break as Diego Milito netted his second goal from another corner. Esteban Cambiasso wrapped up the points for Mourinho’s men tapping in the third after receiving an exquisite pass from Diego Milito.
Fiorentina 2 – Parma 3 (Serie A, November 21, 2009) Alberto Gilardino broke the deadlock for Fiorentina in the 26th minute, only for Nicola Amoruso to equalise four minutes later. Valeri Bojinov, on loan from Manchester City, then fired Parma in front early in the second period. Fiorentina drew level just after the hour mark when Gilardino scored his second of the game but there was a final twist as Davide Lanzafame struck the winner for Parma on 67 minutes.
