Serie A goals: Juventus and AC Milan both win; Genoa claim the derby with Samp

Torino 1 – Fiorentina 4 (Serie A, December 7, 2008) Adrian Mutu netted after just two minutes in Torino, crashing home a free-kick to put the Viola 1-up. Fiorentina doubled their lead in the 41st minute, Gilardino heading home the second from a corner. Zdravko Kuzmanovic netted a third after the break for Fiorentina. Rosina pulled a goal back from the spot for the hosts, but Gilardino sealed the win with a fourth six minutes from time.

AC Milan 1- Catania 0 (Serie A, December 7, 2008) Andriy Shevchenko, returning to his form of old in recent weeks, steered a header just over the Catania bar from Kaka’s cross. At the other end Giuseppe Mascara was unlucky to see his shot come back off the inside of the Milan post. (First half highlights here.) After the break Shevchenko broke the deadlock by turning home Kaka’s header from a corner.

Lecce 1- Juventus 2 (Serie A, December 7, 2008) After showing some quick feet in the first half, Juve’s Sebastian Giovinco gave the Old Lady the lead at Lecce with a stunning 25-yard free-kick that arrowed in the top corner. Daniele Cacia looked to have secured a point with an 83rd minute volley on the angle, but Amauri’s injury time winner earned the visitors all three points. Juve sit second in Italy.

Cagliari 1 – Palermo 0 (Serie A, December 7, 2008) Michele Fini scored the only goal of the game.

Napoli 2 – Siena 0 (Serie A, December 7, 2008) Cristian Maggio (62) and German Denis (73) got the goals for Edoardo Reja’s side.

Reggina 2 – Bologna 2 (Serie A, December 7, 2008) Bernado Corradi (39) and Edgar Barreto (56) twice had the hosts in front, only to see Francesco Valiani (52) and Marco Di Vaio peg them back on each occasion.

Sampdoria 0 – Genoa 1 (Serie A, December 7, 2008) Diego Milito scored a brilliant header in the 50th minute to claim all three points in the Genoa derby.

Atalanta 3 – Udinese 0 (Serie A, December 7, 2008)
