Serie A goals: Inter move eight points clear as AC Milan draw with lowly Reggina

AC Milan 1 – Reggina 1 (Serie A, February 7, 2009) Massimo Ambrosini and David Beckham had early chances in the first half to give Milan the lead over Reggina. Against the form book Reggina then took the lead, Bonera lost Corradi in the box and the forward laid the ball of to Davide Di Gennaro to score. Ronaldinho came close to equalising from a mazy slalom run. On the hour mark Clarence Seedorf handled the ball in the box, chalking off an equaliser. But Milan weren’t to be denied and after Pato went down in the box Ricky Kaka slotted home the penalty.

Lecce 0 – Inter Milan 3 (Serie A, February 7, 2009) Inter needed just 12 minutes to moved ahead at Lecce, Zlatan Ibrahimovic smashed home a low drive from Cambiasso’s clever pass. Inter’s lead was kept intact by a brilliant reflex save from Cesar from Waigo’s header. Maicon blew a glorious opportunity from a Figo set-play, blasting over the bar from point-blank range. Luis Figo then grabbed the crucial second with a rare headed goal. Dejan Stankovic wrapped up the points with the third eight minutes from time.

Livorno 3 – Piacenza 0 (Serie B, February 7, 2009) Tavano took four minutes to hit the back of the net, before Diamanti scored directly from the corner flag in a bizarre goal. Moments later Rossini finished off the match by side-footing in Candreva’s cutback.

Frosinone 0 – Salernitana 2 (Serie B, February 7, 2009) Giubilato saw red and within minutes Fava had punished 10-man Frosinone. Di Napoli’s dismissal evened out the numbers, but the second from Ciaramitaro killed the contest.

Rimini 2 – Treviso 2 (Serie B, February 7, 2009) Treviso had a spectacular start with Pedrelli scoring inside 60 seconds and Fonjock bagging his first goal for the club. Rimini rallied after the break, Milone and Ricchiuti earning a share of the spoils.

Modena 3 – Pisa 3 (Serie B, February 7, 2009) It was already 3-1 to Pisa after just 20 minutes thanks to Greco’s brace, Alvarez and Longo. Just before the break Catellani pulled a second back for Modeva and Bruno found a 66th minute equaliser.
