Roma beat leaders Inter to keep Serie A title race wide open; Hat-trick hero Miccoli leads Palermo past Bologna

Roma 2 – Inter Milan 1 (Serie A, March 27, 2010) A fumble from Inter keeper Julio Cesar, failing to hold onto Burdisso’s header, allowed Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi to stab in a 17th minute opener form the Giallorossi. Diego Milito pulled Inter level midway through the second half when, after having been miles offside in the earlier play, the Argentine forward turned in a right wing cross. But the ill-deserved parity was short-lived as Luca Toni swivelled in the box before crashing home Roma’s second.

Palermo 3 – Bologna 1 (Serie A, March 27, 2010) It took just ten minutes for Miccoli to break the deadlock, although Adailton brought Bologna level in the 38th minute. Miccoli restored Palermo’s lead from the penalty spot two minutes before half-time and then completed his treble late on as Palermo pulled four points clear of fifth-placed Sampdoria.
