Bologna 2 – Atalanta 2 (Serie A, January 20, 2010) A sensational right-footed curling free-kick from Marco Di Vaio ripped into thew top corner as Bologna moved ahead against Atalanta. Di Vaio claimed an equally superb second to put the hosts 2-up, sweetly volleying a cross from strike-partner Zalayeta. Atalanta did manage to half the deficit in the 37th when Thomas Manfredini met a corner with a powerful header. Ernesto Chevanton replaced Ferreira Pinto and the Uruguay forward made an immediate impact as he levelled the score on the hour mark from the edge of the box.
Genoa 1 – Bari 1 (Serie A, January 20, 2010) Bari’s tremendous season looked to continue at Genoa as Paulo Barreto saw his deflected free-kick limp into the net after just four minutes. Genoa fought back, and they were rewarded in the 52nd minute when Suazo was fouled on the edge of the penalty area and Omar Milanetto’s free-kick took a decisive to loop into the far corner.
