The hosts lead through Peter Rajczi’s 7th minute opener until David Beckham set up Milan’s first, playing in Kaka who finished from close range in the 38th minute. Kaka created the second, the playmaker crossing for Andriy Shevchenko to score. The Hungarians fought back, Attila Tokoli notched the equaliser with a solo effort in the 56th minute. Shevchenko grabbed his second and Clarence Seedorf added Milan’s fourth to settle the game. Tabare Viudez claimed the last goal with a close-range finish four minutes from time.
