Buffon sees red as Roma win at Juventus; Catania down poor Parma

Juventus 1 – Roma 2 (Serie A, January 23, 2010) The home side appeared to be on course for victory when Alessandro Del Piero volleyed home the opener on the hour but Francesco Totti equalised from the penalty spot and after Gianluigi Buffon was sent off, John Arne Riise won it at the death.

Catania 3 – Parma 0 (Serie A, January 23, 2010) A Giuseppe Mascara header put Catania in front against Parma. Mascara missed a penalty in the 23rd minute, and the Sicilians had to wait until 20 minutes from time to open up a 2-goal lead, Jorge Martinez finishing beautifully from Izco’s picture-perfect through-ball. Catania sealed the win when Takayuki Morimoto converted a left wing cross in the 77th minute.
