United Arab Emirates 0 – Hungary 2 (Under-20 World Cup, October 3, 2009) Liverpool striker Krisztian Nemeth put Hungary ahead after just 19 minutes, and Vladimir Koman made it 2-0 four minutes later with a curling shot into the top corner.

South Africa 2 – Honduras 0 (Under-20 World Cup, October 3, 2009) Goals from Andile Jali and Sibusiso Khumalo sent SA into the last 16.

Costa Rica 2 – Czech Republic 3 (Under-20 World Cup, October 3, 2009) Both teams qualify, the Czechs finished second only on goal difference from Brazil whilst Costa Rica made it through also on goal difference as a best third placed team. Jan Chramosta scored twice and Jan Voshalik added another for the Czechs in this encounter.

Australia 1 – Brazil 3 (Under-20 World Cup, October 3, 2009) A Brazilian reserve side went behind thanks to some pretty shocking goalkeeping which allowed Aaron Mooy’s free-kick to give Australia the lead. Goals from Ciro, Douglas Costa (the Manchester United target) and Paulo Henrique (great strike) sealed the victory.
