VIDEO: Corluka (Spurs) & Klasnic (Bolton) on target as Croatia down Qatar in a 5-goal thriller; Japan whack Hong Kong for six

Croatia 3 – Qatar 2 (International Friendly, October 8, 2009) Premier League based-duo Vedran Corluka and Ivan Klasnic got the Croats off to a flyer with two goals inside the first eleven minutes. Robert Kovac was then unfortunate to see a block sail over the keeper as Qatar pulled a goal back on the stroke of halftime. And midway through the second half it was 2-2 as Sebastian Soria equalised following a pacey counter-attack. Croatia won the match in injury time thanks to Nikica Jelavic’s late strike.
