England went in front early doors after good work from Rooney and Gerrard with Emile Heskey claiming the goal. WIth 20 minutes remaining the Three Lions doubled their lead, David Beckham picking out and Wayne Rooney who converted a simple header in the box. Frank Lampard claimed the third running onto Carrick’s pass and scuffing the ball into the ball corner before Wayne Rooney claimed his second of his game at the death to wrap up a comfortable win.
South Korea 2 – Iraq 1 (International Friendly, March 28, 2009) There seemed to be little danger when an Iraq free-kick was floated into the box from the right side but Hwang Jae-won headed into his own net at the far post. Kim Chi-woo equalised immediately, firing home from the edge of the area for his first international goal. Lee Keun-ho sealed the win scoring from the spot.
