Argentina 2 – Ghana 0 (International friendly, September 30, 2009) A Martin Palermo brace saw an under-strength Argentina see off an under-strength Ghana side and give Diego Maradona a boost before the upcoming World Cup qualifiers.

Colombia 2 – Mexico 1 (International friendly, September 30, 2009) Giovanni Moreno headed home the opener for the home side, Darwin Quintero sealed the win before Paul Aguilar got a late consolation for El Tri.

Australia 0 – Costa Rica 3 (Under-20 World Cup, September 29, 2009) Australia conceded to Costa Rica ten minutes before the break, a quick free-kick was played into Diego Madrigal on the edge of the box and the forward fired a shot into the top corner to score. The Aussie’s had Tahj Minnecon sent off on the hour, before a late own goal from Luke Devere and an even later third from David Guzman sealed Costa Rica’s win.

Hungary 4 – South Africa 0 (Under-20 World Cup, September 29, 2009) Zsolt Korcsmar scored the opening goal just after half-time and then Vladimir Koman converted a penalty following a foul in the area by Collen Zulu. Andras Debreceni added a third before Adam Presinger curler home a free-kick in injury time.
