KNVB Beker: RKC fight back to KO the Go Ahead Eagles

RKC Waalwijk 3 – Go Ahead Eagles 2 (KNVB Beker, December 20, 2011) Marnix Kolder scored a goal in each half to give the Eagles a 2-0 lead before he was sent off in the 55th minute as the Eerste Divisie side looked on course to cause another upset after they knocked Feyenoord out in the previous round. RKC were then also reduced to 10 men when striker Rick Ten Voorde was shown red nine minutes later for a tackle on Jarchinio Antonia before the Eredivisie side mounted a late comeback to steal the win. Geoffrey Castillion pulled one back for the home side in the 79th minute and Mitchell Schet equalised four minutes later before Ard van Peppen netted the winner with just two minutes left on the clock.

Heracles 4 – De Graafschap 0 (KNVB Beker, December 20, 2011) Willy Overtoom opened the scoring in the third minute before Purrel Frankel’s own goal and Samuel Armenteros’ 41st-minute overhead-volley had them 3-0 up at the break. Marko Vejinovic adding the fourth in the second half.
