Bayern Munich 3 – Borussia Dortmund 1 (Bundesliga, February 13, 2010) After a terrific African Cup of Nations, Mohammed Zidan put Dortmund 1-up at Bayern after five minutes after the striker took advantage of an error by Van Buyten in the Munich backline. Bayern levelled midway through the half as Marc van Bommel thrashed a 25-yard drive into the net. Bayern turned the scoreline on its head early in the second half when the Rib-Rob combination worked a treat as Arjen Robben scored for the fifth time in consecutive matches. And Bayern opened up a 2-goal cushion in the 65th minute as Mario Gomez broke down the left, raced into the box, and the striker pulled out a controlled finish.
Bayer Leverkusen 2 – Wolfsburg 1 (Bundesliga, February 13, 2010) After a goalless first half at Leverkusen, Bayer struck minutes after the restart when a howler from Wolfsburg goalie Lenz allowed Stefan Reinartz to turned the ball home from 6-yards. In the 68th minute Bayer went 2-up when Eren Derdiyok met a fine free-kick from Barnetta to head in number two. Edin Dzeko pulled one back for the 2008/2009 Bundesliga winners.
Stuttgart 1 – Hamburg 3 (Bundesliga, February 13, 2010)Â Marcus Berg raced through the centre to collect a long ball and fire Hamburg into a first half lead at Stuttgart. Christian Trasch scored an equaliser for the home side on 55 minutes. Ruud van Nistelrooy came off the bench in the second half and the Dutchman netted his first Bundesliga goal on 75 minutes with a close-range shot and was on hand two minutes later to make it 3-1 from 10-yards.
Bochum 2 – Hoffenheim 1 (Bundesliga, February 13, 2010) Stanislav Sestak put the home side ahead in the 24th minute before Vedad Ibisevic restored parity on 65 minutes. Substitute Zlatko Dedic then netted the winner on 76 minutes before the visitors’ day got worse when Gustavo received his marching orders with four minutes remaining.
Hannover 1 – Werder Bremen 5 (Bundesliga, February 13, 2010) Peter Niemeyer scored the opener in the 11th minute, before goals from Naldo (18), Petri Pasanen (26) and Aaron Hunt (45) put the result beyond doubt. Christian Schulz pulled a consolation back for Hannover but Claudio Pizarro restored the visitors’ four-goal advantage on 68 minutes.
Hertha Berlin 1 – Mainz 1 (Bundesliga, February 13, 2010) Bottom side Hertha Berlin came from behind against Mainz to earn a point in their battle against the drop. Aristide Bance put the visitors ahead eight minutes before the interval before Adrian Ramos equalised on 52 minutes.
