Free-flowing Hoffenheim win again, as Hamburg slip up in Hannover; Bayern beat Bielefeld

Bayern Munich 3 – Arminia Bielefeld 1 (Bundesliga, November 1, 2008) Miroslav Klose fired Klinsmann’s side 1-up on 25 minutes but Artur Wichniarek stunned the home side with the equaliser from the penalty spot. Late goals from Franck Ribery and Lukas Podolski won the match for Bayern.

Hannover 3 – Hamburg 0 (Bundesliga, November 1, 2008) Early goals from Bastian Schulz and Jan Schlaudraff put Hannover in charge in their home game with Hamburg. Jiri Stanner added the third in the second-half.

Werder Bremen 5 – Hertha Berlin 1 (Bundesliga, November 1, 2008) An own goal from Gojko Kacar and then further strikes from Diego (brilliant volleyed chip) and Marcus Rosenberg gave Bremen a 3-0 half-time lead. On the hour, Claudio Pizarro got Bremen’s fourth. Santos pulled one back before Pizarro grabbed his second of the game.

Hoffenheim 4 – Karlsruher 1 (Bundesliga, November 1, 2008) (Longer highlights here.) Hoffenheim took the lead at home to Karlsruher through the free-scoring Vedad Ibisevic on 15 minutes. But the lead only last five minutes as Sebastian Freis equalised. Midway through the second-half, Edu put the “village team” in front and Ibisevic and Edu added two more on 75 and 78.

Cottbus 0 – Schalke 2 (Bundesliga, November 1, 2008) After Orlando Engelaar had been sent off seven minutes into the second half, Schalke won the match late on with goals from Heiko Westermann and Gerald Asamoah.
