Martin Fenin stole the points heading home a corner in the second half.
Nurnberg 1 – Schalke 2 (Bundesliga, August 8, 2009) Schalke’s strike-force of Jefferson Farfan and Kevin Kuranyi combined in the 36th minute at Nurnberg to earn the visitors the lead at the break. Kevin Kuranyi doubled Schalkes lead after the break, Marek Mintal’s 88th minute goal proving a mere consolation.
