VIDEO: Arsenal & Hammers target Chamakh nets a double for Bordeaux; Wins for Lyon & PSG

Sochaux 2 – Bordeaux 3 (Ligue 1, August 15, 2009) Sought-after striker Marouane Chamakh will have kept up English interest in his services after heading Bordeaux ahead at Sochaux. Wendel grabbed his second goal in as many games to double the visitors’ lead at the break. Lens 2 – Auxerre 0 (Ligue 1, August 15, 2009) Kevin Monnet-Paquet benefitted from a knock-down in the box to fire Lens in front against Auxerre. Razak Boukari sealed the win with a low arrowed shot in the second half.

PSG 3 – Le Mans 1 (Ligue 1, August 15, 2009) Thorstein Helstad stunned the home side with a 21st minute goal but Mevlut Erdinc levelled before halftime and a Frederic Thomas own goal gave PSG the edge, before Ludovic Giuly made the points safe eight minutes from time.

Lorient 2 – Montpellier 2 (Ligue 1, August 15, 2009) Alberto Costa broke the deadlock with a goal on his debut just before the hour mark and Emir Spahic doubled Montpellier’s lead in the 66th minute. Kevin Gameiro pulled one back just two minutes later and Laurent Kolscielny stole a share of the points for his side deep into stoppage time.

Nancy 4 – Monaco 0 (Ligue 1, August 15, 2009) Two goals from Paul Alo’o Efoulou as well as contributions from Issiar Dia and Andre Luiz sealed the victory for the Tomblaine-based side.
