Lille deny Montpellier top spot; PSG win behind closed doors; Rennes & Nice win away; Lorient & Nancy in heavy home wins

Lille 4 – Montpellier 1 (Ligue 1, March 28, 2010) Gervinho put the home side ahead only for Souleymane Camara to equalise with a fine long range effort into the corner. Lille retook the lead through a Yohan Cabaye penalty on 54 and further goals from Pierre-Alain Frau and Larsen Toure wrapped up the victory.

PSG 3 – Boulogne 0 (Ligue 1, March 28, 2010) Behind closed doors, Boulogne defender Antony Lecointe put PSG ahead when he deflected a shot by Stephane Sessegnon into his own net on 26 minutes. Two minutes later, the visitors were reduced to 10 men when defender Bakary Soumare was sent off for a challenge on Guillaume Hoarau. Striker Hoarau doubled the advantage from a penalty on 35 minutes and Mateja Kezman wrapped it up from close range 10 minutes from time.

Le Mans 1 – Rennes 3 (Ligue 1, March 28, 2010) Ismael Bangoura put Rennes ahead with a penalty in the 51st minute after goalkeeper Didier Ovono had fouled Sylvain Marveaux. Mathieu Dossevi levelled for Le Mans in the 58th with a low shot. But Jimmy Briand scored with a header in the 74th before Briand sealed the win by chipping Ovono in the 86th.

Toulouse 0 – Nice 2 (Ligue 1, March 28, 2010) Mounier put them ahead after 40 minutes, with Mouloungui doubling the lead with seven minutes left.

Lorient 4 – Saint-Etienne 0 (Ligue 1, March 28, 2010) Kevin Gameiro scored twice as Lorient crushed struggling St Etienne 4-0. Morgan Amalfitano and Sebastian Dubarbier were also on target to leave the visitors with work still to do to retain their top-flight status.

Nancy 5 – Lens 1 (Ligue 1, March 28, 2010) Issiar Dia hit a hat-trick (first, second, third) as Nancy ran out 5-1 winners in their Ligue 1 clash with Lens. Youssouf Hadji and Pascal Berenguer also netted for the hosts with all their goals coming in a 25-minute spell either side of half-time. Issam Jemaa’s 90th-minute penalty was scant consolation for well-beaten Lens.
