Ligue 1 goals: Lyon’s lead is cut down to four points, Hoarau hits a brace for PSG, Bordeaux & Marseille pick up wins

Lyon 1 – Rennes 1 (Ligue 1, March 1, 2009) Lyon opened the scoring in the 66th minute when substitute Pjanic found Kim Kallstrom, unmarked inside the area, who took a touch before firing into the top corner. But Rennes levelled in injury time as Jimmy Briand beat Lyon keeper Hugo Lloris after Hansson had diverted a long pass from Lemoine into the path of the Rennes forward.

PSG 4 – Nancy 1 (Ligue 1, March 1, 2009) Hoarau opened the scoring for PSG in the 10th minute, and Ludovic Giuly quickly chalked up the second after good work on the right flank from Stephane Sessegnon. Nancy pulled a goal back in the 30th when Julien Feret executed a sublime chip from a tight angle. Hoarau notched his 15th goal this season in the 40th minute before setting up Sessegnon in the 63rd.

Bordeaux 1 – Lorient 0 (Ligue 1, March 1, 2009) Marouane Chamakh found a crucial breakthrough three minutes after half time to take Bordeaux fourth.

Monaco 2 – St. Etienne 2 (Ligue 1, March 1, 2009) Nimani trickled a shot into the far corner as Monaco took the lead, but it was soon wiped out by Payet’s scuffed shot. Matsui scored a cracker to give St. Etienne the lead after the break but a last-gasp equaliser from Mollo earned Monaco a point.

Caen 0 – Marseille 1 (Ligue 1, March 1, 2009) Brandao claimed the all-important winner on 66 minutes, temporarily taking Marseille within four points of Lyon.
