Auxerre 2 – Le Mans 1 (Ligue 1, March 20, 2010) A last-gasp goal by Benoit Pedretti moved Auxerre into top spot in Ligue 1. Pedretti netted with a low shot in stoppage time, just after Thorstein Helstad of Le Mans had cancelled out Ireneusz Jelen’s first-half opener.
Rennes 4 – Toulouse 1 (Ligue 1, March 20, 2010) Rennes opened when Yohann Pele headed in a free-kick, and the hosts doubled their advantage after 35 minutes when Briand burst forward from his own half before feeding Asamoah Gyan to his left in the penalty area, who scored. Gyan scored a minute into the second half to make it 3-nil, Toulouse gave themselves some hope in the 51st minute when Cheikh M’Bengue played in Daniel Braaten to slot home with his left foot, but Jires Kembo Ekoko smashed home a right-footed shot in the closing moments.
Nice 1 – PSG 0 (Ligue 1, March 20, 2010) Loic Remy scored the only goal of the game 11 minutes from time at the Stade Municipal du Ray, in a match which was played behind closed doors following crowd trouble in Nice’s game at Monaco in January.
Grenoble 0 – Monaco 0 (Ligue 1, March 20, 2010) ock-bottom Grenoble and out-of-sorts Monaco shared the spoils in a topsy-turvy goalless draw at the Stade des Alpes. Both sides enjoyed periods of domination without making the breakthrough, while even the dismissal of Grenoble goalkeeper Jody Viviani in the 80th minute could not result in a goal.
Saint-Etienne 0 – Nancy 0 (Ligue 1, March 20, 2010) St Etienne and Nancy were unable to trouble the scorers, with the home side now eight points above the relegation zone.
