But Ricky van Wolfswinkel restored parity for the visitors nine minutes from time and then substitute Alexander Buttner struck an 83rd minute winner to silence the home crowd.

Feyenoord 1 – FC Twente 0 (Eredivisie, April 18, 2009) A penalty in the second half by Roy Makaay proved the difference between Feyenoord and nine-man FC Twente. The home side finished the game with 10 men when Giovanni van Bronckhorst was sent off on the stroke of full-time. Douglas and Cheik Tiote had already been dismissed for the visitors.
