Oscar Cardozo hit a hat-trick while Angel Di Maria and Pablo Aimar also scored as Benfica took advantage of Delson’s red card in the ninth minute to stay unbeaten since early February.
Vitoria Setubal 2 – Porto 5 (Liga Sagres, April 24, 2010) Falcao and Roque Maicon gave the visitors a comfortable half-time lead before Bernardo Henrique pulled one back five minutes after the break. However, Fredy Guarin and Fernando Belluschi wrapped up the points for the visitors before Falcao and Henrique each scored a late goal for their respective teams.
Sibir Novosibirsk 1 – CSKA Moscow 4 (Russian Premier League, April 24, 2010) From a 12th minute corner, CSKA defender Sergei Ignashevich out-jumped the Sibir defence to fire the visitors into the lead. CSKA bagged a killer second two minutes into injury time at the end of the first half when a back-to-front ended with striker Guilherme sliding the Muscovites into a commanding 2-nil lead. CSKA made sure that Sibir were dead and buried 10 minutes into the second half when Tomas Necid stroked home number three from close range, while 17 minutes from time starlet Alan Dzagoev claimed number four as Sibir’s humiliation increased. The hosts did mange to save a little face a minute later when Tomas Cizek netted a consolation for the hosts.
Dynamo Moscow 1 – Saturn 0 (Russian Premier League, April 24, 2010) A scrappy goal from Alexandru Epureanu from a corner midway through the second half proved enough for Dynamo.
Lokomotiv Moscow 2 – Tomsk 1 (Russian Premier League, April 24, 2010) First half goals by Dennis Glushakov and Oleksandr Aliev did the trick for Lokomotiv, rendering Sergey Kornilenko’s late strike immaterial.
