Willem II 0 – Ajax 2 (Eredivisie, April 14, 2010) A fourth minute Luis Suarez penalty put second-placed Ajax in front away at Willem II. The Amsterdammers went two goals up just before the hour when Marco Pantelic tapped in Rommedahl’s low cross from the right.
Feyenoord 3 – Sparta Rotterdam 0 (Eredivisie, April 14, 2010) Feyenoord’s teenage star Georginio Wijnaldum, a reported target for Liverpool, put the hosts ahead at home to Sparta when he headed home from 5-yards out. Cisse set up Luigi Bruins for the 2-0 only minutes after the break, and Jon Dahl Tomasson added a third as Feyenoord ran out comfortable winners.
Heerenveen 2 – PSV 2 (Eredivisie, April 14, 2010) PSV struck early in the second half when Ola Toivonen set up Balazs Dzsudzsak to score, but the lead was short lived as Gerald Sibon headed the equaliser past Isaksson only a minute later. Full-back Stanislav Manolev restored PSV’s lead at the hour mark after a quick combination with Toivonen. Heerenveen levlled once again when Pavel Wojciechowski slotted home a cross from close range.
FC Utrecht 1 – FC Groningen 1 (Eredivisie, April 14, 2010) Jacob Mulenga gave FC Utrecht the lead on 28 minutes, but Nicklas Pedersen levelled matters two minutes before the break.
ADO Den Haag 2 – NEC 3 (Eredivisie, April 14, 2010) NEC came from two goals down to beat ADO Den Haag 3-2. Den Haag were gifted the opener after 17 minutes when Bram Nuytinck put through his own goal and Wesley Verhoek doubled the lead on 54 minutes. NEC roared back and turned the game on its head with three goals in the space of seven minutes from Rick Ten Voorde (78), John Goosens (83) and Patrick Pothuizen (85).
Roda 4 – VVV Venlo 2 (Eredivisie, April 14, 2010) Willem Janssen set Roda on their way with the opener after just three minuutes and Jan-Paul Saeijs doubled the lead on 21 minutes. VVV stunned the home side by drawing level with two goals in ten minutes from Alexander Nkume (23) and Gonzalo Garcia (33). Marcel de Jong restored Roda’s lead on 64 minutes and Morten Skoubo put the game beyond VVV with a fourth goal seven minutes from time.
Porto 4 – Rio Ave 0 (Taca de Portugal, April 14, 2010) A picture-perfect free-kick from Argentine Fernando Belluschi gave Porto the lead over Rio Ave in the cup. The Portuguese giants killed the match with a late flurry in the final stages with Freddy Guarin (a 30-yard belter), Ruben Micael (another bullet) and Radamel Falcao.
