Barcelona struggled to break down Inter in the early stages of the match, with the talking points in the openings exchanges being a shoulder injury to Maicon and Zlatan’s ripped shirt from a free-kick. Barca looked more dangerous when Dani Alves whipped in a cross which Pedro Rodriguez volleyed off target in the 23rd minute. And then came the flashpoint in the 27th minute, Thiago Motta put his hand in the face of Sergio Busquets who embarrassingly crashed to the floor like he’d been shot, out came a second yellow for Motta, who before he left the pitch aggressively grabbed Sergio by the neck for getting him sent off.Â Julio Cesar made a stunning save from a Messi curler andÂ just before the interval Zlatan rifled a 30-yard free-kick which swerved wide of the upright and Â (First half highlights here.) Despite playing against 10 men Barca were shot of ideas throughout the second half until six minutes from time when Xavi slipped a perfect pass through to Gerard Pique (offside?), the centre back brilliantly turned in the box to wrongfoot Cordoba and Cesar before firing into the open net. Barcelona thought they had scored in injury time but Bojan Krkic’s effort was ruled out due to a Toure handball.
