Wigan get out the bottom three by beating Everton; The Eagles beat the Canaries; Leeds lose

Wigan 1 – Everton 0 (Premier League, November 24, 2008) After an entertaining but goalless first half at the JJB, Steve Bruce brought on Henri Camara from the bench and the substitution pay instant dividends as Valencia was released down the right, cut inside and fed Camara for his first Premier League goal since December 2006.

Norwich 1 – Crystal Palace 2 (Championship, November 25, 2008) A Craig Beattie strike and a fine John Oster chip gave Palace a two goal lead at Carrow Road. The hosts pulled one back with Matthew Pattison nodding in Lee Croft’s cross. (Apologies for the quality of the video.)

Northampton 2 – Leeds 1 (League One, November 25, 2008) Liam Davis hit a beauty on the turn to give the hosts the lead. Red-hot Jermaine Beckford chalked up his 19th goal of the season to level. But Northampton claimed the points as Danny Jackman late corner was headed home by Nicholas Bignall.
