Theo Walcott hits a hat-trick as Arsenal smash seven (7!) past Newcastle

Arsenal 7 – Newcastle 3 (Premier League, December 29, 2012) (Alternative highlights, High Quality Highlights, Longer highlights & MOTD highlights.) After 20 minutes, Arsenal took the lead on 20 minutes as Theo Walcott (onside?) cut in from the left and slotted past Krul. Just before the break it was 1-1 as Demba Ba saw his free-kick deflected in by Jack Wilshere. Just after the break Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain fired the Gunners 2-1 ahead. Sylvain Marveaux equalised on 59 only for Arsenal to retake the lead five minutes later through Lukas Podolski. But Newcastle came back for a third time on 69 as Demba Ba claimed his second to make it 3-3. And back came Arsenal – on 73 Theo Walcott claimed his second for 4-3. With five minutes to go Theo Walcott turned provider with an excellent cross converted by Olivier Giroud for 5-3. Two minutes later it was 6-3 as substitute Olivier Giroud claimed his second. There was still time for a 7th as Theo Walcott chipped in his hat-trick for 7-3.
