Portsmouth looked to put their off-field problems to one side when they took the lead at Burley, Danny Webber seeing his cross to the back post turned in by Frederic Piquionne. But the Clarets weren’t behind for long as Jensen’s long-kick upfield was flicked on by Fletcher and Martin Paterson hooked a stunning lob over David James’s enormous afro. Ten minutes into the second half Jamie O’Hara continued the Spurs tradition this season of missing penalties but Hassan Yebda made no mistake from the spot with fifteen minutes to go after Clarke Carlisle gave away his second penalty of the half.
