Manchester City win the reserve derby
City won the Premier League game at Old Trafford whilst United were victors in the EFL Cup, also at Old Trafford, earlier this campaign.
On Monday night the reserve sides of Manchester United and Manchester City played a mini-derby.
Regan Poole red card
Manchester United faced an uphill struggle from early on when Regan Poole was sent off for a two footed challenge.
Despite plenty of Manchester City chances, it remained goalless at the break.
Brahim Diaz opened the scoring for Manchester City with a precise shot into the left side of the goal.
Sean Goss puled a goal back for Manchester United six minutes later but City won out with two goals on 61 and 70.
Isaac Buckley-Ricketts made it 2-1 with a fizzing effort and Paolo Fernandes made it 3-1 after dispossessing a Manchester United defender.
