Boosted Baggies drag Birmingham into relegation bother

Birmingham 1 – West Brom 3 (Premier League, March 5, 2011) (MOTD highlights) Ninety seconds after the restart off a forgettable first half, sub Odemwingie bustled his way through the Blues backline to find Youssuf Mulumbu who toe-poked his effort past Foster. But Birmingham hit back within a minute, Carr and Bowyer combined down the right before Jean Beausejour slid home a cross from two yards out. The second half continued to entertain as James Morrison scored a stunner in the 58, the midfielder collected the ball on the edge of the box, lifted the ball over Davies with his right and lashed in a stunning half-volley with his left. Twenty minutes from time the Baggies notch a third courtesy of an amazing call by the linesman who managed to correctly see that Paul Scharner’s backpost header from a corner had crossed the line.
