PSV 6 – Den Haag 0 (Eredivisie, February 5, 2009) (Longer highlights here.) Dzsudzsak opened the scoring after 31 minutes before Ola Toivonen scored a second just before halftime. Bursaspor 1 – Fenerbahce 3 (Turkish Cup, February 5, 2009) Alex de Souza scored in the 23rd and 25th minutes to give Fener a comfortable lead, and Spanish striker Daniel Guiza added a third shortly before halftime.
Nacional 3 – El Nacional 3 (Agg. 8-3) (Copa Libertadores, February 5, 2009) Nacional raced into a 3-nil lead, Jorge Nunez scored twice in six minutes, before Nunez set up Hebert Arriola’s header for a third. New El Nacional coach Juan Carlos Burbano sent in Erick de Jesus after half an hour and the team sprang to life. Marwin Pita scored two minutes later in a goalmouth scramble, Jorge Ladines three minutes after that, and Edmundo Zura equalised with a deflected shot that dribbled in two minutes before the break.
