Ghana 4 - England 0 (Under-20 World Cup, September 29, 2009) England were thrashed by Ghana and must win their final game against Uzbekistan to have a chance of going through. Dominic Adiyaih claimed a brace, Andre Ayew scored the goal of the game with a stunning strike and Ransford Osei completed the scoring.

Uruguay 3 - Uzbekistan 0 (Under-20 World Cup, September 29, 2009) Nicolas Lodeiro, Jonathan Urretaviscaya and Santiago Garcia sent Uruguay into the next round of the competition.

Germany 1 - South Korea 1 (Under-20 World Cup, September 29, 2009) Bayer Leverkusen’s teenage striker Richard Sukuta-Pasu fired Germany into the lead against South Korea by forcing his way into a goal-scoring opportunity and striking the far corner. Twenty minutes from time the Koreans levelled as fortune shined on Min-Woo Kim, the striker bundling his way through the German defence and seeing his tame shot trickle into the net.

USA 4 - Cameroon 1 (Under-20 World Cup, September 29, 2009) Bryan Arguez, Tony Taylor, Dilly Duka and Brian Ownby scored for Team America, Banana Yaya (great name!) had made the score 3-1 from the penalty spot.
