Frane Vitaic scores from inside his own half

This goal comes from Saturday’s Romanian Liga I meeting between Farul Constanta and Otelul Galati.

After falling behind to a goal from Fernandez after eleven minutes, Otelul’s Croatian national Frane Vitaic scored what will likely be one of the goals of the season - so unexpected that the cameraman moved focus away from the play not thinking the football on show was going anywhere.

Vitaic picked up the ball well inside his own half, carried the ball towards the halfway line, before unleashing a wonderfully flat and hard shot straight down the middle of the pitch, which had so much pace on the shot that the back-tracking Farul keeper was left flapping.
