Chelsea’s anti-semitic fans caught on camera (video)

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

Tottenham, known for having a considerable Jewish following due to the club’s location in North London, have made an official complaint over footage of 50-or-so Chelsea supporters who were filmed making racist and anti-Semitic chants before the Blues 2-1 victory away to Stoke City last month.

Chelsea have said that the footage, which shows only the faces of a handful of supporters, has been passed on to police and they have confirmed that they will ban any supporter who can be identified and is found guilty.

After a couple of minutes of the video, the Chelsea supporters are seen breaking out in vile unison singing “Spurs are on their way to Auschwitz, Hilter’s gonna gas them again.”

The video can be seen here.

  1. Not A Spurs Fan Says:

Utterly reprehensible scum. Name and shame these slimeballs and get them banned from football stadiums for the rest of their worthless lives. There are a few clubs who seem to attract an ultra right-wing lunatic fringe following - Chelsea, Millwall, Rangers, etc. When one’s (so called) political(!) views turn into sheer racial and religious hatred something must be done and quick.

If we want future generations and families, the lifeblood of the game (not SKY millions), to come and enjoy the game in a non-threatening atmosphere then this shit must be nipped in the bud. The photograph above is truly shocking and the kid should be taken into social care away from that lout of a father. That’s how strongly I feel about it.

  2. Realist Says:

What complete nonsense! Almost as reprehensible as the actions you claim. This is false, there have been so such reports, no such complaint and the photo is a famous one, which is photo-shopped. I am not surprised that people are actually gullible enough to fall for this, but it is saddening that people are able to a) post ’stories’ and b) post their moronic replies, both are something that should quite simply be punishable in the courts as libel.

And wasn’t it a Stoke fan who is soon in the dock for racist comments following a recent cup match?

  3. Jacob Says:

I was at Chelsea v Spurs last season (Chelsea end right next to Spurs fans) and there was a pretty bad anti-semitic chant coming from a few fans, which is of course disgraceful. But what concerned me was that the Police did nothing, I thought those sort of songs were ‘inciting racial/religious hatred’ and therefore a criminal offence.

Another thing worth mentioning is that Spurs fans need to stop calling themselves yiddos, it really doesn’t help matters.

Finally, most of us Chelsea fans are not like that. Please don’t tar us all with the same brush.
