Recreativo Huelva 1 - Villarreal 2 (La Liga, November 30, 2008) First half goals from Santi Cazorla and Ariel Ibagaza saw Villarreal move into a comfortable lead at the break (first half highlights here), and the Yellow Submarine never looked in danger of relinquishing the three points despite a late reply from Adrian Colunga.
Valencia 3 - Real Betis 2 (La Liga, November 30, 2008) Valencia took the lead when David Villa volleyed home after a well-worked attack from the home side. Mata doubled the lead after 20 minutes with a fine solo goal. After the break Betis got a foothold in the match with a Juanma strike that went in the near post. And after Marchena was sent off, Emana drew the visitors level from the spot, only for Rubin Baraja to restore Valencia’s advantage in the 73rd minute.
Almeria 0 - Deportivo La Coruna 1 (La Liga, November 30, 2008) Negredo was sent off on 52 minutes for Depor before Verdu hit a 67th minute penalty against the bar. But Verdu quickly made amends with the winner on 75 minutes.
Espanyol 0 - Sporting Gijon 1 (La Liga, November 30, 2008) Carmelo smashed a 29th minute shot into the top corner to earn Sporting a win at Espanyol.
Malaga 4 - Osasuna 2 (La Liga, November 30, 2008) After a scoreless first half, Malaga went in front on 56 minutes through Apono’s penalty after Javier Calleja had been brought down by Juanfran. Nabil Bahar headed home Adrian’s cross for 2-0 on 62 minutes before Osasuna drew level through headers from Javad Nekounam and Miguel Flano on 79 and 81 minutes. But Albert Luque restored Malaga’s lead on 84 minutes and Apono played in Eliseu to clinch the win two minutes into injury-time.
Athletic Bilbao 2 - Numancia 0 (La Liga, November 30, 2008) Bilbao lifted themselves out of the bottom three in the table as Fernando Llorente scored both goals over Numancia, who now slip into the relegation zone.

Sevilla 0 - Barcelona 3 (La Liga, November 29, 2008) (Longer highlights here.) A great finish from Samuel Eto’o put Barca ahead at the break. Late on Lionel Messi secured the win with a brace of quality goals, sandwiched in between Fabiano was sent off for the home side.
Getafe 3 - Real Madrid 1 (La Liga, November 29, 2008) (Longer highlights here.) After only three minutes Juan Albin headed home a delicious cross from Jaime Gavilan to give Getafe the lead. Juan Albin then put Getafe two-up with a great run and finish. Javier Saviola pulled one back from a Guti through ball to give Schuster some hope. But Getafe caught Madrid on the break and Ikechukwu Uche grabbed the killer third.

Real Sociedad 1 - Huesca 0 (Segunda Division, November 23, 2008) A goal of the week contender, Xabi Castillo struck an incredible 30-yard howitzer that ripped into the top corner to steal the points for Real.

Barcelona 1 - Getafe 1 (La Liga, November 23, 2008) (Longer highlights here.) The Nou Camp was silenced after 20 minutes as Manu Del Moral curled a beauty in the bottom corner to give Getafe the lead. Samuel Eto’o hit the bar as Barca went in search of the equaliser. Barca had to wait until the 71st minute, Seydou Keita headed home Alves’ cross at the far post.
Numancia 1 - Atletico Madrid 1 (La Liga, November 23, 2008) Atletico Madrid took a lead just past the half hour mark when Diego Forlan scored after Simao played in the striker with a delightful pass. But just as it seemed that Atletico would take the points, a 94th minute penalty from Barkero gave the hosts a share of the spoils.
Racing Santander 3 - Espanyol 0 (La Liga, November 23, 2008) Ivan Marcano opening the scoring on 11 minutes. Oscar Serrano increased the lead after 26 minutes and Jonathan added the third just before the hour mark.
Mallorca 2 - Malaga 2 (La Liga, November 23, 2008) Ivan Barrios’ own goal and Nabil Baha had twice given Malaga the lead in the first half, with Jose Rey’s goal for Mallorca sandwiched in between. Pierre Webo earned Mallorca a point with an equaliser midway through the second half.
Sporting Gijon 1 - Real Betis 2 (La Liga, November 23, 2008) Sporting had taken a 25th minute lead through Diego Castro before Betis levelled on 53 minutes through Luciano Monzon. Achille Emana grabbed the winner on the hour mark.
Osasuna 3 - Almeria 1 (La Liga, November 23, 2008) Osasuna finally registered their first league win of the season. Almeria made a flying start to the match as Alvaro Negredo scored from the penalty spot on eight minutes, but Guilherme was then sent off two minutes later. Walter Pandiani equalised for Osasuna on 15 minutes, Hernan Dario Pellarano’s own goal on 71 minutes gave the hosts the lead before Krisztian Vadocz notched a late third.
Deportivo La Coruna 3 - Athletic Bilbao 1 (La Liga, November 23, 2008) Ze Castro put Deportivo ahead on 20 minutes, and Verdu put Depor 2-up when he converted from the spot after Bodipo had been bundled in the box. Javi Martinez gave Bilbao hope with a header on 72 minutes but in the fifth minute of injury-time, Depor made the points safe when Andres Guardado finished off a sweeping move from the hosts.

Villarreal 0 - Valladolid 3 (La Liga, November 22, 2008) Jonathan Sesma scored twice and Luis Prieto added a third in a sensational first half as Valladolid, who beat Real Madrid last weekend, took another big scalp.

Recreativo Huelva 0 - Barcelona 2 (La Liga, November 16, 2008) Barcelona put together a clever free-kick to take the lead at Recre, Xavi slipped in Lionel Messi on the blindside of the wall and the Argentine smashed in a beauty in the 51st minute. Seydou Keita added a second five minutes from time.
Atletico Madrid 4 - Deportivo La Coruna 1 (La Liga, November 16, 2008) John Heitinga bundled home the opener for Atletico against Depor. Early in the second half Diego Forlan doubled the lead, picking up a loose ball before producing a clinical finish. Maxi found the third with Forlan wrapping up the game in the final stages. Filipe notched a consolation for Depor.
Espanyol 3 - Numancia 4 (La Liga, November 16, 2008) Nagore put Numancia in front after a quarter of an hour, but Espanyol equalised through Hurtado 10 minutes before the break. Goiria then restored the visitors’ advantage seven minutes after the interval, but Jarque headed home from a corner to level the scores once again. Tamudo put the hosts ahead from the penalty spot after 71 minutes but Numancia failed equalised through Jose Javier Barkero in the closing stages before Carlos Bellvis grabbed the winner in the fourth minute of injury time.
Malaga 2 - Villarreal 2 (La Liga, November 16, 2008) For the second week running Rossi was on the scoresheet early doors to give Villarreal the lead at Malaga. Duda levelled with a stunning 35-yard free-kick that nestled in the top corner. But the Yellow Submarine retook the lead minutes into the second half with a goal from Llorente. Rosario earned Malaga a point with a last-gasp equaliser.
Almeria 2 - Mallorca 1 (La Liga, November 16, 2008) Almeria took the lead shortly before halftime when Alvaro Negredo picked up a loose ballĀ on the edge of the area and curled a fine shot over German Lux. Negredo stroked in a penalty for number two just after the hour and Alhassane Keita pulled one back in added time.
Real Betis 3 - Racing Santander 1 (La Liga, November 16, 2008) Sergio Garcia put Betis ahead in the 27th minute with a clever volley from the edge of the box, before assisting Achile Emana to stroke home from close range. Garcia got the third when he intercepted a careless back pass, rounded the keeper and slotted into the empty net. Pedro Munitis scored from long range with around five minutes left.
Getafe 0 - Sevilla 2 (La Liga, November 16, 2008) Luis Fabiano gave Sevilla the lead as he raced on to Romaric’s pass and slotted the ball through the legs of Abbondanzieri. Abbondanzieri also let Sevilla’s second in between his legs, rushing out from goal after Tom de Mul burst clear on the left.
Athletic Bilbao 2 - Osasuna 0 (La Liga, November 16, 2008) Osasuna’s horrific run continued, Joseba Garmendia putting Bilbao ahead in the first half with Llorente killing the game off two minutes from time.
