Ajax knock over NEC 4-1; Utrecht’s first half blitz kills of Alkmaar

Ajax 4 – NEC 1 (Eredivisie, February 19, 2012) The Amsterdammers moved ahead early on when Dmitriy Bulykin scored after five minutes, while three minutes later defender Jan Vertonghen headed home a corner for 2-nil. Ajax kept up the pressure in the 27th as Dmitriy Bulykin cashed in on a killer third. Ajax extended their lead after the interval when Siem de Jongheaded home another corner. Rens van Eijden got NEC on the scoresheet in the 69th.

FC Utrecht 3 – AZ Alkmaar 0 (Eredivisie, February 19, 2012) Utrecht established a 3-nil half-time lead over AZ Alkmaar courtesy of a Alexander Gerndt double and a third from Edouard Duplan before the interval.

PSV get Suk-er punched at Groningen

Groningen 3 – PSV 0 (Eredivisie, February 19, 2012) Just before the half hour Groningen took the lead thanks to a strike from Hyun Jun Suk. The hosts doubled their advantage with a move finished by Leandro Bacuna early in the second half, while PSV were reduced to ten men when Stanislav Manolev collected his second yellow in the 56th. Hyun Jun Suk claimed a third in the 74th minute to complete the rout with a fabulous lob from 35-yards.

Robert Braber duly equalised with 3 minutes to go.

John Guidetti 3 – Vitesse 1

Feyenoord 3 – Vitesse 1 (Eredivisie, February 12, 2012) John Guidetti’s fine form continued in the 12 minute as a header from a corner appeared to bounce off his arm for the opener. On the half hour John Guidetti bagged a second from the penalty spot. Nicky Hofs halved the deficit for Vitesse, with another penalty. With 7 minutes to go John Guidetti won the match and completed his hat-trick.

FC Utrecht 1 – ADO Den Haag 1 (Eredivisie, February 12, 2012) Frank Demouge fired Utrecht ahead in the first half, but ADO were level by the break as Lex Immers equalised.

RKC Waalwijk 0 – Heerenveen 1 (Eredivisie, February 12, 2012) The home side had Evander Sno sent off just before the half hour mark and Rajir van La Parra scored the decisive goal five minutes before half-time.

Heracles show their might at Twente

FC Twente 2 – Heracles 3 (Eredivisie, February 10, 2012) Heracles took the lead in the 33rd minute when a Samuel Armenteros cross was headed home by Everton. Luuk de Jong pulled Twente level in the 73rd, but Heracles scored twice in three minutes through Darl Douglas and Everton in the 81st and 84th to secure a shock away win. Luuk de Jong’s late second proved mere consolation.

Alkmaar score six (!) at sorry ADO

ADO Den Haag 0 – AZ Alkmaar 6 (Eredivisie, February 8, 2012) Alkmaar took the lead midway through the first half courtesy of a Charlison Benschop header, and two minutes after the restart AZ doubled their lead as Charlison Benschop added a second to the scoresheet. Charlison Benschop completed his hat-trick in the 69th, before AZ twisted the knife in the final stages as Maarten Martens made it four and American Jozy Altidore netted two more late goals to raise the tally to six.
