Bochum 1 - Hamburg 1 (Bundesliga, November 30, 2008) Bochum’s Stanislav Sestak hooked a lovely shot into the roof of the net, with his back towards the goal, after Hamburg failed to clear their lines from a free-kick. Ivica Olic equalised for Martin Jol’s men, scoring from a tight angle in the 70th minute.

Stuttgart 2 - Schalke 0 (Bundesliga, November 30, 2008) Jan Simak ran on to a hopeful long ball and lobbed it over the keeper for the Stuttgart opener in the second half. Mario Gomez finished off another swift break a few minutes from time to secure Stuttgart’s first win in six league games.

Bundesliga goals: Wins For Bayern Munich & Hoffenheim ahead of next week’s showdown; Werder hit five past Frankfurt

Bayer Leverkusen 0 - Bayern Munich 2 (Bundesliga, November 29, 2008) (Longer highlights here.) Luca Toni headed Bayern Munich into the lead just before the hour mark at Leverkusen. Miroslav Klose bagged the second.

Hoffenheim 3 - Arminia Bielefeld 0 (Bundesliga, November 29, 2008) League leaders Hoffenheim got off to a blistering start against Arminia Bielefeld, taking a 2-0 lead thanks to goals from Vedad Ibisevic and Carlos Eduardo.

Werder Bremen 5 - Eintracht Frankfurt 0 (Bundesliga, November 29, 2008) Pizarro scored twice inside the opening 20 minutes, firstly turning home Hugo Almeida’s cross and then firing into the top corner after being teed up by Torsten Frings. Bremen grabbed a third goal just before the break when Diego scored from the penalty spot. Pizarro completed his hat-trick on 62 minutes, with Almeida again the provider, and Hunt wrapped up the scoring 15 minutes from time.

Hannover 3 - Karlsruhe 1 (Bundesliga, November 29, 2008) Karlsruhe sank to the bottom of the Bundesliga after fellow strugglers Hannover sent them to their eighth defeat in their last nine games at home. The hosts struck three goals in the first half, with Mike Hanke bagging himself a brace inside the opening 20 minutes and Mikael Forssell adding a third just before the break.

Olic’s screamer puts Hamburg back on track in the Bundesliga

Hamburg 2 - Werder Bremen 1 (Bundesliga, November 23, 2008) (Longer highlights here.) Jose Guerrero shot Hamburg in the lead over Werder after the visitors failed to clear a free-kick. Bremen’s talisman brought them level, Diego curling a free-kick past the outstretched reach of Rost. Ivica Olic stole the points with a wonder strike in the 74th minute, cutting in from the right he let rip with a left-footed arrow that pierced the top corner.

Bochum 2 - Hertha Berlin 3 (Bundesliga, November 22, 2008) Raffael, Gojko Kacar and Cicero scored in the first half for Hertha to seemingly secure a comfortable win. But Bochum rallied after the break as Stanislav Sestak and Marcin Mieciel threatened to claim an unlikely comeback.

Hoffenheim back on top of the Bandesliga as Leverkusen fall at Arminia; Bayern hit four past Cottbus

Schalke 3 - Borussia Monchengladbach 1 (Bundesliga, November 22, 2008) Halil Altintop fired Schalke into the lead at home to Monchengladbach. Five minutes later Jefferson Farfan doubled the scoreline with a penalty. Rob Friend pulled a goal back for the away side on the half hour. Altintop restored Schalke’s lead on the stroke of half-time.

Cologne 1 - Hoffenheim 3 (Bundesliga, November 22, 2008) Demba Ba put Hoffenheim in front at Cologne. Midway through the second period, by which time both teams were down to ten men, Vedad Ibisevic tapped in to all but ensure Hoffenheim return to the top of the Bundesliga. Petit gave the home side some hope with a deflected free-kick but Ibisevic completed the scoring with a clinical strike with three minutes to go.

Bayern Munich 4 - Energie Cottbus 1 (Bundesliga, November 22, 2008) (Longer highlights here.) Ervin Skela got his first goal of the season as his free-kick evaded everyone to give Energie Cottbus a surprise lead, only for Franck Ribery to equalise with a stunning free kick. Seven minutes before the break Martin Demichelis headed Bayern ahead. After half-time Miroslav Klose got the third after fine play from Ribery. The fourth came shortly after as Italians Oddo and Luca Toni combined with the striker volleying home from a corner.

Arminia Bielelfeld 2 - Bayer Leverkusen 1 (Bundesliga, November 22, 2008) Arminia Bielefeld shocked league leaders Leverkusen when Artur Wichniarek fired them in front after the break. Daniel Halfar got the second, hooking home after some pressure from the home side. Patrick Helmes pulled one back for Leverkusen.

Wolfsburg 4 - Stuttgart 1 (Bundesliga, November 22, 2008) Stuttgart led at half-time through Martin Lanig’s 17th minute goal before Grafite levelled for Wolfsburg on 51 minutes. Grafite put the hosts in front on 76 minutes before Edin Dzeko netted on 79 and 85 minutes to clinch the points.

Eintracht Frankfurt 4 - Hannover 0 (Bundesliga, November 22, 2008) Nikos Liberopoulos struck twice either side of the break while Marco Russ and Martin Fenin were also on target.

Karlsruhe 0 - Borussia Dortmund 1 (Bundesliga, November 21, 2008) The only goal of the match came after 20 minutes, Hajnal sent over a cross from the right wing and Mohamed Zidan beat both the defender and keeper to score.

Bremen beat Cologne to move up to seventh in the Bundesliga

Werder Bremen 3 - Cologne 1 (Bundesliga, November 16, 2008) Werder Bremen struck first against Cologne, Frank Baumann won a penalty with a powerfdul run which Diego tucked away in the top corner. A thundering header from Ronaldo Rodrigues extended Bremen’s lead. Novakovic brought Cologne back in the match, only for Almeida to restore the two goal buffer with a powerful strike that ripped high into the net.
