Neymar stars with a brace as Santos win 3-0 at Guarani

Guarani 0 – Santos 3 (Campeonato Paulista final first leg, May 6, 2012) In the opening seconds Neymar skipped past 5 defenders before being brought down for a free-kick which Elano hit against the bar. Santos took the lead from a Paulo Henrique Ganso effort from the edge of the box that the Guarani keeper couldn’t keep out. In the second half Neymar slid home the second goal for Santos. Late on Neymar added his second and Santos’ third.

Neymar hat-trick guides Santos past Sao Paulo & into Paulista final

Sao Paulo 1 – Santos 3 (Campeonato Paulista semi-final, April 29, 2012) Neymar converted a penalty for 1-0 Santos on 3 minutes and his 100th goal for the club. On 31 Neymar was slipped through and notched his 101st goal for his boyhood club. In the second half Willian Jose halved the deficit but Neymar completed his hat-trick thanks to some butter fingers keeping.

Neymar on the scoresheet as Santos beat Mogi Mirim; Corinthians, Palmeiras suffer shock loses; Fla KO’ed by Vasco

Santos 2 – Mogi Mirim 0 (Campeonato Paulista, April 22, 2012) Maranhao and Neymar scored for Santos.

Corinthians 2 – Ponte Preta 3 (Campeonato Paulista, April 22, 2012) Goals from Willian Magrao and Roger gave the visitors a 2-0 half-time lead. Willian pulled one back for Corinthians on 74 minutes, before Rodrigo Pimpao restored Ponte Preta’s two-goal cushion with a minute remaining. Alex made it a nervous finish for the away side when he pulled another goal back for Corinthians in the 90th minute, but Ponte Preta held on to record an unexpected upset.

Guarani 3 – Palmeiras 2 (Campeonato Paulista, April 22, 2012) Jose Fumagalli and Fabinho Souza scored in the 50th and 52nd minutes respectively to give the hosts a 2-0 lead, with veteran Marcos Assuncao pulling one back for Palmeiras just 60 seconds later. Souza completed his brace and made it 3-1 to Guarani in the 90th minute, before Henrique gave Palmeiras hope with an extra-time strike for the visitors.

Flamengo 2 – Vasco 3  (Campeonato Carioca, April 22, 2012) Playmaker Felipe scored twice in Vasco’s victory, which added even more pressure on Ronaldinho’s Flamengo after the popular team’s early elimination in the Copa Libertadores just over a week ago.
