Atletico Rafaela 0 – Godoy Cruz 2 (Argentina Apertura, December 12, 2011) Godoy Cruz claimed the last Copa Libertadores spot as they sealed a 2-0 win at Atletico Rafaela in their final Apertura game. Ariel Rojas (41) and Ruben Ramirez (72) scored the goals, and the visitors held on despite having Israel Damonte sent off a minute later.

Independiente 2 – Tigre 1 (Argentina Apertura, December 12, 2011) Independiente came from behind to beat Tigre 2-1, Facundo Parra’s 57th minute penalty and Hernan Fredes’ strike 10 minutes later cancelling out Diego Morales’ first-half spot-kick.

Velez Sarsfield 1 – Racing Club 0 (Argentina Apertura, December 12, 2011) Racing lost 1-0 at Velez Sarsfield thanks to David Ramirez’s goal in the 55th minute, but still finished second behind Boca Juniors in the Apertura table.

San Martin 1 – San Lorenzo 0 (Argentina Apertura, December 12, 2011) Sebastian Penco’s goal was enough for San Martin San Juan to beat San Lorenzo.
