For the second successive match, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has been caught on camera giving an opponent a slap.
Earlier this week we asked “why is Zlatan Ibrahimovic so useless in February?” The Swedish striker has for a number of years now played terribly in the second calendar month of the year and this trend continued when he slapped Napoli’s Salvatore Aronica to pick up a red card in the Serie A match on Sunday.
“Zlatan’s February curse” continued in the Coppa Italia semi-final first leg against Juventus as he struggled to assert himself in an under strength Rossoneri side and after losing to his former club got caught up in a confontation with Old Lady keeper Marco Storari.
Footage from behind one of the San Siro goals, sees Ibrahimovic, in a very similar incident to the one with Aronica, slap the Juventus keeper with Giorgio Chiellini in close attendance.
Intriguingly, Ibrahimovic’s behaviour against Juventus could mean he fails to face Antonio Conte’s side in Serie A. AC Milan are challenging Zlatan’s ban for the red card against Napoli, hoping to bring it down from three games to two.
The remaining game in question is against Juventus and with the two Italian giants challenging for the Scudetto this could well be a season defining game.
