A trend is really starting to form this season of fans from all over the globe running onto pitches and scoring goals.
First there was the fat Russian fan who scored a penalty during the Saturn-Spartak Moscow match towards the end of September. (Watch here.)
Then, just a couple of weeks ago a similar situation unfolded during Manchester United’s Carling Cup win at Barnsley as a couple of fans produced a copycat moment to stick the ball past Ben Foster. (Watch here.)
And now it seems that African fans are also getting involved in the latest craze gripping disgruntled supporters, as a young Moroccan fan managed to get himself hauled off the pitch by a gaggle of minders during his country’s World Cup qualifying defeat to Cameroon on Saturday.
Somehow evading stewards, the young male was caught galloping on the turf before striking the ball into the back of the net, which arguably brought the biggest cheer of the day from the home supporters who watched on as their side fell 2-nil and had their South African dreams wiped out.
