Xabi Alonso has a pretty cool way of celebrating Real Madrid wins in the Nou Camp

On November 29, 2010, Xabi Alonso was on the Real Madrid team that was battered 5-0 by Barcelona in the Nou Camp.

A number of the Real Madrid team that won 3-1 last night in the Copa del Rey semi-final second leg, also played in that match, including Sergio Ramos, Mesut Ozil and Cristiano Ronaldo.

With Jose Mourinho getting to grips with El Clasico since that infamous night in Real Madrid history, Xabi Alonso and his team mates have had a couple of opportunities to celebrate in the Nou Camp.

On April 21, 2012, Real Madrid won 2-1 at Barcelona to all but seal a hugely impressive La Liga title last season.

Minutes after the Los Blancos win, Xabi Alonso was pictured, sitting in the Nou Camp stands, contemplating victory – see first picture above.

On Tuesday evening, after the 3-1 win, Xabi Alonso again sat in the stands, but this time Tweeted his own picture – see second picture below.

We can only imagine what must be going through the former Liverpool midfielder’s mind at these moments but they must be some of the most satisfactory of his professional career.
