What’s the point of having a goalkeeper who cannot coordinate in hand movements?
After being knocked out the cup by lower league Guingamp, and then being on the receiving end of a 3-1 battering at Lille last time out in the league, PSG’s awful run of late continue at the Parc des Princes on Wednesday night as the Parisians fell to yet another Ligue 1 loss to Monaco.
Making the loss all the more unpalatable was the horrific goal which decided the contest. Midway through the second half Eduardo Costa raced down the left flank for Monaco, before whipping in an innocuous-looking cross into the danger area. The only problem was no Monaco player was really in an effective attacking position as the cross headed into the path of keeper Edel.
And then came the complete brain-freeze that left the custodian with a mountain of egg on his face.
Apoula Edel’s embarrassing own goal can be seen here.
