Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku has proven in the last two seasons that he can score against opposition at the highest level and, with the form the big forward is in, he looks a good outsider to be top scorer at the World Cup.
Lukaku opened the scoring tonight for Belgium in their friendly against Sweden, his fourth goal in two games.
This is following the hat-trick he bagged in the 5-1 win over Luxembourg.
While his club future isn’t extremely clear, with the rumour being that parent club Chelsea will use Lukaku as makeweight in one of their transfers this summer, his international place could not be more secure.
In the absence of injured striker Christian Benteke, Lukaku has stepped in with exemplary performances. Surely, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho must notice!
