Robin van Persie’s interview with Dutch television following Manchester United’s Champions League defeat to Olympiakos has left a long trail.
To recap, RVP said: “It was quite difficult because my team-mates are often in the area where I want to play.”
Considering van Persie had a very poor game in Greece it felt a bit rich from the Dutch striker and you can imagine certain members of the Manchester United squad would take this pretty badly.
Chief amongst them would be Javier Hernandez, after all the Mexican striker would love to be playing “in the area where I want to play.”
On Thursday morning, Hernandez posted a picture on Instagram, celebrating a goal with Patrice Evra, alongside the following message:
“Without your teammates you can’t be somebody in football, always be thankful…”
The majority of the comments on Javier Hernandez’s post thank the Mexican striker for “sending a message” to RVP.
