The latest installment of Moroccan Adel Taarabt’s loan spell from Tottenham to now-managerless QPR continued on Monday in the 3-2 Easter win over Sheffield Wednesday at Loftus Road.
Rangers made wholesale changes from the defeat against Burnley at the weekend with no fewer than five changes to their starting the line-up. However, as has been common throughout Tarrabt’s stay with Rangers, the twinkle-ties trickster was again afforded a free role in the side’s attack.
Unlike previous week though, Tarrabt’s brief saw the number 20 play centrally rather than in a wide position, with the youngster often seen dovetailing with striker Heidar Helguson through the middle.
Taarabt did not disappoint, looking menacing and creative throughout the contest, with the Moroccan unfortunate not to be directly involved in a goal-scoring situation before he was substituted in the 56th minute and QPR began their comeback from 2-0 down to win 3-2.
