Football and music have been humping each other silly this week.
Didier Drogba found the time crossover into pop when he graciously cameoed in an ex-pornstar’s music video, but that’s now been upped by Arsenal bad-boy Emmanuel Frimpong.
After his season ended early by injury when on loan at Wolves, Frimpong has exploited his new found free time by extending his brand awareness. There is the DENCH clothing range, and now there is a music single (which is conveniently decked out in DENCH clobber).
Alongside Lethal Bizzle, Emmanuel Frimpong has now released a new video for their grime banger “Leave It Yeah! Remix” (see here). It’s not Diamond Lights.
But there is also another – more underground – rapper who need to be away of: YouTuber 50GuntCent, or as we prefer to call him Tone Deaf MC.
Tone Deaf MC, a rabid Blackburn Rovers fan, has invested his efforts remixing Tinie Tempah’s “Pass Out” into an anthem he hopes can fuel a revolution at Ewood Park.
It’s a lyrical masterpiece: from the open line “We want the Venky’s out. I won’t stop until the mother-f*****ing Venky’s are out!” to the beautifully sung “So let it rain, Let it pour away. We are going down. Grab Steve Kean and knock him out!”
