View from the stands: Birmingham fans give Forest boss Alex McLeish hell on his St Andrews returnSaturday in the Championship saw Birmingham beat bitter local rivals Nottingham Forest 2-1.

The derby would always have been feisty at the best of times, the but the sight of Birmingham supporters watching Alex McLeish return to St Andrews gave the match a more poisonous edge.

McLeish, who managed Birmingham from 2007-2011 and famously won Birmingham the League Cup in 2011, lost the respect of all Blues when he resigned from the club in order to take nemesis Aston Villa post back in June 2011. His reign at Villa Park was short and painful, with the Scot moving to Forest just before the new year.

McLeish was mercilessly heckled by the Birmingham fans from the off.

With a heavy dose of cuss words thrown into the lexicon, Birmingham fans reigned taunts down on McLeish as the Forest boss stood all on his own on the edge of the pitch.
